Topstep performance coach and risk manager Dan Hodgman sat down with newly Funded Trader® Nick M., who has had a life-changing experience since going through the Trading Combine®.
After bouncing around between markets for a few months, Nick has found his groove trading Gold and Silver. The intense volatility that you find in the equity futures markets isn’t always for everyone, and the metals have been Nick’s saving grace, from a day-traders perspective.
Focusing on shorter timeframe setups and finding good support and resistance levels have proven to be Nick’s “Golden Goose.” Putting in the time to do proper research and heeding the advice of Topstep’s performance coach’s are also a big part of his daily trading plan.
It’s always difficult taking what other people say and trying to apply it to your own strategy, but when you find what works and apply the proper risk management techniques, good things can eventually happen.
