This page explains how Topstep's Affiliate Program (the "Program") works. These terms work alongside Topstep's Terms of Use, in particular Section 14 (Promo code usage), which are incorporated by reference. If anything on this page conflicts with the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use control.

By using or redeeming an Affiliate Code, you agree to the Terms of Use.

How the Program works

Topstep may approve content creators and marketers (each, an "Affiliate") to share a unique code issued by Topstep (an "Affiliate Code") with their audiences. When a new trader (a "Code User") uses an Affiliate Code to complete their first simulated proprietary trading evaluation program (e.g., Trading Combines®, Topstep Labs and/or Evaluation Challenges), which are operated by TopstepTrader LLC and marketed publicly under the Topstep brand (the “Prop Program(s)”) purchase, the Code User receives 20% off that purchase, and the Affiliate may be compensated by Topstep.

Affiliates are independent third parties. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of Topstep and have no authority to make statements or commitments on Topstep's behalf.

For Code Users

  • An Affiliate Code applies only to a first-time Prop Program purchase by someone who has never previously purchased one from Topstep or any Topstep-affiliated entity.
  • You may redeem only one Affiliate Code, one time, in your lifetime.
  • The Affiliate Code does not apply to account Resets, Back2Funded, market data add-ons, or any other purchase.
  • Affiliate Codes cannot be combined with other promo codes, discounts, or Referral Codes.
  • Affiliate Codes apply only to Topstep's Prop Programs. They do not apply to any brokerage account or service offered by Topstep Brokerage LLC.

Becoming an Affiliate

Participation in the Program is by approval only. Topstep selects Affiliates at its discretion and may decline, suspend, or end any Affiliate's participation at any time. Approved Affiliates are issued a unique Affiliate Code and must follow Topstep's content and conduct guidelines, including required disclosures, and may not make guarantees or promises of profit, payouts, or funded status. If you're interested in being considered, please contact partners@topstep.com. Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee approval.

Affiliates may share their own Affiliate Code as permitted by Topstep. This is a specific, limited exception to the general restriction on sharing and commercially exploiting promo codes in Section 14 of our Terms of Use.

Affiliate disclosures

Affiliates may be compensated by Topstep when you use their code. Look for disclosures such as "#TopstepPartner" or "Topstep Partner." An Affiliate's views are their own and do not represent Topstep's. Nothing an Affiliate says is investment, trading, tax, or legal advice, and Affiliate results are not typical or a guarantee of your results. The Trading Combine® is a simulated trading program that is difficult to pass. Please review Topstep's Risk Disclosures before purchasing.

Code terms

Every Affiliate Code is subject to the following terms:

Code has no cash value and may not be substituted for cash, credit, or any other item of value. One-time use per eligible new user. Code may be modified or terminated at any time without notice. Acceptance and use of Code is subject to all applicable laws and additional terms, including those in the Terms of Use. All terms and conditions are subject to change at Topstep's sole discretion.

Eligibility, fraud, and Topstep's discretion

Eligibility requirements, including age, and OFAC restrictions, are set out in the Terms of Use. Topstep may deny or withhold any discount, and may withhold or reverse any Affiliate compensation, that it determines, in its sole discretion, to be fraudulent, abusive, self-referred, or not the result of a genuine first-time purchase. Topstep's decisions on all matters related to the Program are final and Topstep may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Program at any time in its sole discretion.
